2024 indie releases to grow your TBR š¤š
We are all about supporting each other in the book community, and being an indie author is no easy task. Some of my most favourite books are independently published, and there was no way I could miss the opportunity of showcasing some more.
I have gathered for you stories from different genres, something for each one of you to enjoy. Prepare your popcorn ad GoodReads app, because you have a lot of new books to add to your TBR.
Without further details, here is a list with some on my most anticipated indie releases in 2024!
"Ashvale - A Vampire's Kiss" by Jade Church
Now, I can't tell you just how excited I am for the release of the second book in the Ashvale Series! This is a vampire paranormal romance, full of spice, mystery, magick, morally grey vamps and the most amazing MMC you'll get. I'm telling you, Hayes stole my heart in book one, and A Vampire's Kiss also has his POV!

I loved everything about the first book in the series, and I am so excited for myself and others to read the second part!
"Teach Me How to Fly" by Layla Brown
A little birdie told me that this spring comes with a lot of surprises for mafia lovers in the book community.
Layla's debut novel, "Teach me how to fly" has some of the most craved tropes. Examples? Give me a**assin love, morally grey MMC, first love, grumpy x sunshine.
Not only that, but it also comes with quite a bunch of trigger warnings. You can find out more about Layla and her projects on her authorgram page!
Layla is also one of the most talented cover designers, so not only that her cover was made by herself, but she also worked on "A Game of Trust", "Papers Don't Lie" and others that you can find on her designer page, here.
āA Game of Trustā by A. M. Tufe
āA Game of Trustā is a dark dystopian romance, filled with twisted plots, and even more twisted characters. In this world of games and deceit, not even those closer to you, bound by blood, are to trust.
Forced to grow up on a new continent where all the cr*minals were outcasted hundreds of years ago, our heroine must learn to overcome the pain to reach peace. But in such a world, who can say what peace truly is?
Think of this as street fighter meets the mob, only in ways you canāt even imagine!
A Game of Trust will also come out in spring 2024, and the reason I know so much about itās because I wrote it! And I surely hope some of you will click with this not so regular story, where we canāt even know who the real MMC is.

"Lost in Circles" by Anna Kobeleva
Did you miss a good Formula 1 series? Well, you don't have to anymore because Anna is here for all of us who can't get over the rush of romance and fast cars.
Lost in Circles is the first book in the Slipstream Series and you might want to keep an eye open on Anna's page, because even though it was all announced not so long ago, the release will come sooner than you expect!
More books means more drama, and more drama means different tropes for each of us. This is what Lost in Circles promises to its readers (get ready, you will like it!)

"Papers Donāt Lie" by Maeve Hazel
I had the opportunity to read this book before the publishing day on February 11th (yes! Itās out)! All I can say is that this billionaire romance will get yourself a new book boyfriend. I personally love the villain in this story more than anything, so I truly hope that Maeve (no pressure) will also write a book for him in the future. Call me sick, but it is what it is and I am who I am.
Each time I see an aesthetic reel on Maeveās instagram page, I get thrown back into that universe that likely wonāt end here.
This book is such a huge improvement! I loved Maeveās other stories, but Papers Donāt Lie has to be my favourite one. Spicy, cute, sad and heartbreaking, it has everything you need to fall in love and finish it in one go!
āA Touch of Darknessā Joelina Falk
2024 greets us with the second book of the Tartarus Club Series by Joelina Falk. Iām telling you, romance lovers, forced proximity lovers, one bed and best friendās sister tropes lovers, might want to check this out!
Millo Marucci - you know, the Italian MMC with one obsession that canāt leave his mind is ready to take you inside the ride of your life! Donāt believe me? Check out for yourselves in Joelinaās posts!
The first book, A Touch of Light, can be found on Amazon in paperback and ebook. And, of course, on Kindle Unlimited for those who just know they canāt help themselves, such as myself.

I donāt know about you, but this book caught my attention from the first time my eyes landed on the cover and on Jessicaās insta page. Everything reminds me of goodness, summer and everything nice. Well, thatās exactly the vibe of this small town romance. Do you want to hear whatās even better that the calming aesthetic? The tropes!
Childhood rivals to lovers? Yes! He falls first and harder? Mhmm! Forced proximity? Absolutely! But the most important and one of my faves: mental health rep.
The pub date of āAfter all this timeā is May 17th, but you can already add it on Goodreads, and most importantly, preorder the ebook version on Amazon!
āBlinded by loveā by Jaclin Marie
This is not Jaclinās first rodeo, but one thing even more special about her soon to be published book, āBlinded by loveā, is that she poured bits and pieces of herself in the FMC. Thereās nothing more touching and mysterious than knowing a small part of the creator hides in their art.

Even though it contains some dark elements, āBlinded by loveā is not entirely a dark romance, her words, not mine! So this is just perfect for the readers who like to dip their toes into a little mischief and darkness, without having to DNF the book from harsh triggers.
āMess it upā by Wafiyah Basha
Okay, now this is so exciting for me! I have read almost all of Wafiyahās books by now, but this one just has <3 something <3.
See for yourself: Basketball high school romance, anxiety rep, biker male character, rivals schools, London boy AND exās best friend??? I mean, come on! What more could we ask for??

āHis Cursed Heartā by Emery Alexandra
"The beast in me is ready to devour everything in its path. Including her."
I know, I know. I like that quote as well. From āInnocent snowflakesā, to this? Emery seems ready to challenge herself and her readers, and by the posts on her authorgram account, Iām sold! Everything about āHis Cured Heartā sounds just so tempting. Unluckily, you canāt see the cover now, but I saw it and believe me when I tell you, it looks incredible!
Tropes: Mafia Romance, Dark Romance, Forced Marriage, Sister's Fiance (oukaaay!!)
āWithin the Darkening Woodsā by Scarlett D. Vine
Within the Darkening Woodsā is part of an interconnected series, āTwisted Worldsā. Each of them can be read as stand-alones, following different couples, but if you are someone who enjoys the bigger picture, easter eggs and world building, I would suggest you give the entire series a go as they come out!
When I asked Scarlett what vibes should we expect, she did not disappoint! So go ahead and add this to your TBR if you are a lover of āurban/paranormal fantasy, and also what I'm calling "gothic Tolkien."

Have you ever read a tennis romance? I havenāt, but I am planning on adding this one on my TBR. I canāt lie, every Nicco and Scottie have that je ne sais quoi about them, and have you seen the aesthetics?
Meg really said CLEAN and she meant it. The vibes are vibing and the tropes are troping.
Watch this: age gap (8 years), slowburn, grumpy x sunshine, reluctant cat dad, pro athletes (tennis), doubles partners to lovers, fake dating and sooo many more amazing ones that Iām just sure romance lovers will devour!
āThe Pretty Psychoā by L.K. Reid
Can you hear me screaming? No? Well, I am!!
This is Book 2 in the āSt. Vasili's Academyā and I canāt tell you just how excited I am for this release! L.Kās content always gets me hyped, and for something that has the word āacademyā in the title, man, Iām here for it!
For those who know me, I am a lover of dark romance, and when I read the first line of the first bookās description, I got so damn excited! You can get more info and order it here!

"Gilded Thorns" by Maya Tate
This list needed some more fantasy, wouldnāt you say? Well I have exactly what you need! Gilded Thorns is set in a Gothic country Estate and itās the perfect combination between The Vampire Diaries and Bridgerton.
Do tell if only these keywords, known as tropes in the bookish community, arenāt just pure perfection: vampire family angst, enemies to lovers, Regency England, slow burn, brotherly bonds and not your typical FMC because she, of course, has a thing for darkness and the unusual.
And can we talk about that beautiful cover? Sets the vibe perfectly!

Need a book for summer? This is your go-to! A Thousand Sunsets is that cute romcom we all need to feel happy and at peace, especially as we lay in the bright, hot sun on a golden beach.

Well this is surely a book Iād pick up. Only by its description and dark cover alone. But, thankfully, for those of you who like to have a little more info, Iāll leave below a list of the tropes (you will love them, I already know!)
So get ready for a good friends/allies to lovers (and soulmates!!), the forced proximity we all adore so much, family drama (Iām all about that), amnesia, mental health, queer and poc rep and soo many more!
