🎀 5 reasons to read "Papers Don’t Lie by Maeve Hazel" 🎀

Same as most of the authors I write about, Maeve has no idea about this one, which is always so fun! A few months ago I made a book review for her second book “Safety Measures” that you can check out here, if you are in the mood for a short, spicy, cute-with-a-twist romance between an author and her editor.

February 11th marked the day her third book was published and you can find all kinds of helpful links in this article as I give you five reasons for you to read “Papers Don’t Lie”!

1. The tropes

If you are like me, you might not always like to read the blurb of a book, for it gives away too much of its content. Well, Maeve had the cutest idea for readers such as you and me. The back cover is filled only with the tropes!

Here is what you should expect in Papers Don’t Lie:

đź’śdual pov

đź’śone bed

đź’śdislike to like

đź’śforced proximity

đź’śmarriage of convenience

đź’śbillionaire

đź’śtouch her and dĂŻĂ«

đź’śno third act break-up

2. The villain

Yep, I am one of those! No matter how cute and hot the main character is, I’ll always have a soft spot for the villain, and man, this one villains the way a villain should villain. I am the founder of the movement for Carter to have his own book!

Did you hear that, Maeve? I am still waiting for your final decision (and only “yes” is acceptable!)

3. The heartbreaking twist

Maeve writes pretty wholesome, cute, spicy stories. You can literally finish them in one go, because they just give you that feel-good vibes… until they don’t and your entire world is flipped upside down by the most heartbreaking plot twist that could happen in a fluffy romance book. :D

I’m telling you, prepare yourself. From Indigo Eyes, to Safety Measures and Papers Don’t Lie, if there is anything these books have in common, is the sudden heartbreak!

4. I edited this book

This reason is mostly for myself. It was a blast being part of the developmental phase of Papers Don’t Lie and, as Maeve knows already, it was more fun that I could’ve dreamed it would be. The little time I finished it tells her exactly how much I enjoyed being in this world with her characters.

To make this more of a reason, if you know me and are curious about what I do outside of my daily job, go ahead and place that order on Amazon or on Maeve’s website!

5. The writing

Whenever you feel overwhelmed by – anything – there’s nothing better than a smooth, easy to read story. Uncomplicated, easy to follow and to understand. Just perfect for a fun, quick and emotional read!

There are surely more than five reasons, and some may agree with me, some might not. But the only way to be sure is if you try it for yourselves.

I’ll make it easier for you and drop the Amazon link here <3

Until next time, enjoy the realms others created! ✨
