If you like these tropes, read this!

Genres, tropes, microtropes. They all help us get a better view on the book we're about to dive in and are especially helpful for those who want to make sure their next read fits their mood perfectly.

I, for one, think a good book can have all the tropes I hate, but if the writing and the story are amazing, it'll end up as one of my fav reads. Same goes for books that fit into that pattern we all seem to search for from time to time. A book filled with our favourite tropes can seem like a match made in heaven, theoretically, but what if the writing isn't quite your cup of tea and the plot could be better?

It's all a gamble, really. Each time we pick up a new book, we might love it or hate it (or worse, feel nothing). But does that mean we should stop? Absolutely not! So here's a list of tropes that, if appealing to you, might've just given you your next read.

🔪 Italian Mafia x Street Fighters 🥊

Yes, you've read that right. Create a new continent full of outcasted criminals, take a club of orphaned children that must learn how to survive in a cruel, broken world. Lastly, teach them how the street life works, only so they can face the true power of an Italian Clan.

💗 Multiple Love Interests

Which one? Or maybe..which two? Or three? Who can know with that many options, right?

🪖Bodyguard Romance

So you are telling me they were put there to protect her, but they are also her enemies because years ago they took the one thing she loved the most? Okay, then.

💙 Brother's Best Friend

Raven hair with blue reflections, body and face tattoos & piercings, motorcycle, protective yet kind of a bully (also teases her with other girls)

🤺 Strong Yet Damaged FMC

I love myself a good, strong female lead in books. Holding the power of words and knives means something else is lacking, though, right? But what is it? What must she learn along the way, in order to become her greatest self?

✨ Chosen Family

Orphans + protective brother + a girl looking for danger = a match made in heaven

👠 Power Through Femininity

That's right, not only playing with guns and knives makes you dangerous, and she knows it all too well.

🦅 Raven Pet

In other words, the star of the show, Rha.

If those tropes made you a little curious about the book in question, I won't make you wait longer. Don't worry, I have all the links you need <3
